Today i arrived on the beach and was chased away by a fully armed GNR (guns n Roses) officer, saying that i can't surf on that beach today while waving his gun around, they were nice enough to tell me that i can drive to the beach next to it though and walk around to the wave i wanted to surf.

The official call has come in and they will be LIVE at 7am for the morning show followed by the continuation of Round 3 at 7:15am (local time). The swell is pumping at around 10-15ft and we are set for a massive day of incredible surfing.

FIRST STOP ON THE NZ OZ TRIP

Before the long drive to Gisborne we ended up having a sneaky stop at Raglan, known for one of the longest left handers in the business. It was about a 2 hour drive from Auckland on which we did not cross more then a hand full of cars and where stunned by the natures true beauty New Zealand had to offer, making you want to hug every tree and eat the fresh green grass which surely the happy unattached cows would be delighted to share with you.
Waking up and seeing these perfect Raglan waves, rolling along the shores of these amazing fertile cliffs, decorated with unspoiled nature, made me want to move here, and i would!!! if it was just not that F>>KING far away from europe. Maybe a once in a year holiday will have to do it for now .

6 HOUR ROAD TRIP THROUGH THE HIGHLANDS OF NE

After the 24 hours in the plane with a small stop in singapore where i treated myself with a new pair of Tennis shoes i finally arrived in auckland, but its not done yet, still have 300 km ahead of me till arriving at my final destination Gisborne and cause of the curvy roads it actually calculates up to a 6 hour drive.
The contest starts on the 24th i think and i will have photos and updates of New Zealand every day

Last night we went to Sakura a japanese restaurant in lisbon, this restaurante is not just about sushi, although you can have many kinds of different sushis there. The fun thing about being at this restaurant are the teppanyaki tables, where there is a hot plate in the middle of the table and you watch while the Japanese chefs prepare and grill your food, till now i only have had that when i was away from home .
For 16 euros you get the all you can eat option which i of course went for, can never get enough !!!

When every one though the ocean would be flat for 1 week in portugal, Gony and i drove from Ericeira down south where we stayed at my parents surf camp, The Surfexperience, and scored some fun little waves just by the door.
